Just came back from the Guineafowl / Givers / Portugal. The Man show and it was ssssooooo good!!!!!!! Guineafowl were lovely, it was my second time seeing them. Just wish their set was longer! Givers were absolutely delightful and Portgual. The Man were just fuckin’ incredible! So much better live!!
ONE THING THOUGH, I really hate people who just stand around at shows! At least tap your foot or something, if you’re not gonna dance your butt off, then why are you even there?!

The Grates: New York | New Sounds
You can hear The Grates’ new-found swagger in their first single Turn Me On, a throbbing slice of indie rock that’s sexier, more sophisticated and relatively free of silliness. It’s a notable departure for a band that’s become well known for its red-cordial rock, on-stage costumes and visual gimmicks.
Observers will attribute the shift to the band finally ‘growing up’, but Patterson says New York actually had the opposite effect. “It’s like Neverland there. Everyone’s an orphan, everyone’s left their families so no-one has to grow up there,” he explains. “People don’t talk about getting married or having kids or settling down.
